Hi my lovely Mr Bubs,

Just a sweet note for a stressful you. My poor you is so stressed and busy with unearthly hours of work. I just want to loudly let you know that I would be waiting at the end of the road with your favourite reds and tenderolin to celebrate the end of this with you.

It breaks my heart to see you all swamped with work, and the restless resistance to head back to work after each “nap”. All I can do now is to stay by your side, and be there whenever you need me.

I love you. Am just a phone call away. *muacks*

The last 2 long weekends can be summed up pretty easily.

Nothing much.
Reason being: The BBs were down with stomach flu.

Yes ladies and gentlemen, we had the sheer misfortune to fall sick one after the other, in the short span of a week.
Topping it up, it had to be the 2 weeks that we had long weekends.

Shit happens sometimes, but in this case, it’s a serious case of fate induced diarrhea.
So till the next time we are both better, more exciting things await.

house hunting

We had approximately more than an hour before the movie starts. We decided to do some recee. Drove along Tiong Bahru Road, hoping to find some newer flats which we can spend the next few year of our lifes there.  Yes.. we are house hunting. :)

Did some research over the net previously and was really curious about this estate called Jalan Membina. Never understand why the BIG PRICE TAG until we reached there.

Very focus, we headed there. These tall standing flats caught our eyes immediately. It was gorgeous. It is a HDB Flat hidden in the skin of a condomium. Yes, now I know.

We both fell in love with the place and the location is perfect! Will do more research in the meantime.

A short news from Dillion.. This estate is a baby, it’s only 2 years old. Which means, we cannot buy them unless we can find someone who paid cash fully 2 years ago. Knowing the demographics of the population there, I reckon it would be difficult as it is supposedly to be a HDB build to encompass en-bloc “ers” around the corner. Big sigh. But with the luxury of time, we are still keeping our fingers crossed.

It was not part of the plan.
In fact, the plan was to plan for this plan.

The original plan was to be more meticulous in our selection.
We were supposed to pore through scrolls(or in this case, brochures) of (mis)representation, trawling through the good ole’ internet for scraps of information, haranguing friends and foes alike for snippets of personal encounters(+costs).

All for the perfect package, the splendid shoot, the marvellous moments…

But in a less time it took for Optimus Prime to transform, I was hooked by this particular package.

All it took for me was this:

Got sense?!?!?!?!?
A white piano in the middle of a flower field??!?!?

I ish rike…………………………..

Best part of it all?
The package is cheap. Not cheap as in dirt cheap.
But cheap enough for our budget.

Best-est part?
The people there are so so so friendly, I thought I was in a meeting with my long lost relatives who happened to be Taiwanese…
(for those who are interested, can go check it out - just a word of caution though, although you can view the website in English, sometimes it’ll reload in Chinese. 繁体中文 somemore! So for those who those 4 letters are Klingon for f**k, you may be right and you’re probably f**ked trying to navigate around the webby….)

Anyway to cut a long story short, this would not have happened if the missus did not pass by the shop, if the gown(which I have always suspected was blessed by a Jedi Master) hadn’t called out to her, if she and her bestie Janet did not meet up for dinner at City Hall and decided to take a look inside, if she hadn’t show me the pictures that totally blew my mind away, if………………

Let’s just put it this way.
It worked out because things happened for a reason, and at the right time.
And I’m convinced this time, we’re in for a smashing time.

– Mr Bubs aka Timmy out

we had a chance to pop the invitation of a Hong Kong Visit to my Dad in the next Apr. Bubs once again stumbled upon his words and cant bring the conversation further. It is suppose to be an intended official dinner with my family there so that we can announce our status before Aug 10 comes. However, we reckon that his parents deemed the invitation as a normally dinner. Being bubs, yes.. He didn’t explain further. We left the conversation there…

Next steps, he would ask his boss if he can make an oversea trip in Dec; which is supposedly frozen taking the chance that his parents are traveling there then.

Over to you bubs…

managed to kidnap mummy n daddy bubs on a Saturday evening for a proper sit down dinner. We had a major brain war of planning strategies upon strategies on how can we catch the bubs parents alone [less his brothers] over a meal. The same way fate brought us together, that very weekend after a long night of discussion, his parents are heading for Emil Chau Concert on a saturday without his brothers. Woot! Here is the chance!!!

Bubs told them that we would join them for dinner which is very rare especially on a Saturday evening. Family dinner normally happens on a Sunday. I bet the whole afternoon, his parents must be suspecting if his boy has made them a grandchild. hahaha..

I could hear the thumbing heart beat the moment my eyes landed on his parents at the dinner table. I couldn’t swallow anything that was bubs tried to stuff in my mouth as my heart is coming out from within. Exchanged glares with bubs, nudging kicking him under the table. He then took a good 30min braved his courage before he popped the question “Daddy, mummie…我们要结婚,你们认为这么样?” The parents remained indifferent [as usual] and replied with questions which… we were not ready to answer now. All in all, his parents were very supportiv from that point forward. We were both glad and thankful. :)

I did a heads up with mum as I refused to allow bubs to speak to her.  Since he has yet to officiate anything between us, I reckon it would be more appropriate if I talk to her alone instead. So yes, my mummy is supportive too but she can’t wait. I completely understand that she can’t wait for the day to come as she has been bugging me for years. There is so much we can do within this year and things can’t be expedited next year at my pathetic pay check. Only hope she would understand. …

Mrs bubs ala veron signing off…
